Bigfoot kicks off reality competition for Filipino filmmakers
Bigfoot Entertainment will produce a reality show that sees Filipino filmmaker wannabes compete for a chance to break into the movie industry.
"Hollywood Boot Camp" sees eight contestants from the Philippines live together in one house in Los Angeles for a month during which they are set tasks that include screenwriting, directing, cinematography, editing, production design and acting. Action takes place entirely in L.A. in April, during the location shooting of Bigfoot's forthcoming horror pic "Midnight Movie."
They compete for a $10,000 cash prize or a $20,000 film development course that includes use of Bigfoot's Philippines studios and film school in Mactan, Cebu.
"Hollywood Boot Camp" will be an eight-episode series, presented by model Rebecca Piket, that Bigfoot will package and license internationally.
I wonder which Philippine TV channel will show this or if this will be picked up by major U.S. networks.
Here's a photoshoot video of host Rebecca Piket produced by Bigfoot's International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT), for FashionTV (FTV) (contains content for mature audiences):
