"Film Auteur," a new, eclectic journal of film studies from Portland
State University, is seeking papers addressing the work of filmmaker
Gus Van Sant.

Papers from a wide variety of interpretive perspectives are welcome,
including but not exclusive to psychoanalytic theory, queer theory,
cultural studies, formal cinematic analysis, postmodern theory,
neo-Marxist theory, feminist theory, and more.

We welcome articles with strong theoretical tendencies, but we also
welcome more mainstream approaches.

Papers should be between 5,000 and 12,000 words. Endnote style is
requested.

Deadline is August 31, 2007.

If you have questions, please contact Michael Clark, editor-in-chief,
at clarkm@pdx.edu

Thanks for your contributions!
