Following the success of the first Basic Filmmaking Workshop conducted last Summer, Filipino Pictures, Inc. will offer the same course this coming semester break. Classes will start on October 13, 2008.

The goal is to teach the basics and familiarize the students with the environment in the field of independent filmmaking.

The organizers made major adjustments to make sure that the program will be much more beneficial to the students. The number of days was increased to 11 days to make sure that all areas will be well-covered. Subjects will be as follows: Film Analysis, Directing and Film Language, Scriptwriting, Cinematography, Line Production and Production Management, Production Design, Sound Design and Editing.

Classes start on October 13 and will end on October 31, 2008 (not including the editing stage of the final project).

Slots are limited to 20 participants only.

Workshop Fee: P10,000.00 only

Workshop will cover the following:

1.    Venue
2.    Equipments
3.    Light Snacks
4.    One-day Shoot
5.    One-day Edit
6.    One-day Screening (venue to follow)

Lecture will include:

1.    Film Showing
2.    Group Exercises
3.    Practical Application
4.    Defense and Evaluation

All equipments will be provided during the workshop and on the day of the shoot. A certificate will be given after the workshop.

Discounts will be given to early registrants and to those who will enroll in groups.

Early Reservations/Registrations

1.    Reservation made from August 15 – September 15, 2008 is subject to 10% discount. Provided that the payment will be made from September 16 to 23, 2008. Failure to pay on or before September 23, discount will be forfeited and slot may be given to other applicants.

2.    Reservation made from September 16 – September 30, 2008 is subject to 5% discount. Provided that the payment will e made from October 1 to 8, 2008. Failure to pay on or before October 8, discount will be forfeited and slot may be given to other applicants.

3.    Those who will register on August 15 – September 15, 2008 (even without prior reservation is automatically subject to 10% discount.

4.    Those who will register on September 16 – September 30, 2008 (even without prior reservation is automatically subject to 5% discount.

5.    Those who will register after September 30, 2008 without prior reservation will pay the full amount.

6.    Reservation will only be honored until September 30. Failure to register on or before the said deadlines will make the reservation void and discounts will be forfeited.

7.    Registration Fee is transferable but non-refundable.

Group Enrollment

1.    Those who will enroll in pair is entitled to 5% discount

2.    Those who will enroll in threes and above are entitled to 10 % discount.
