“Anyone who has learned to speak language can also learn to be fluent with the language of film and video.” -Surf Reyes
After a well-attended half-day talk on advocacy video, Surf Reyes gives the full coverage of his module on advocacy filmmaking with emphasis on creative story-telling and techniques. The workshop is open to anyone who intends to use video for advocacy and those who would like to venture into filmmaking with a heart.
The Resource Person:
Surf Reyes was founding Director of the Mowelfund Film Institute, and also taught filmmaking in schools and universities. Articulate and self-giving, some of his students include Raymond Red, Mac Alejandre, Bing Lao, and many others who are now writers, directors and cinematographers in their own fields in advertising and cinema.
