WRITING ABOUT FILMS:
FILM APPRECIATION FOR THE YOUNG
With Patrick Campos
*************************
Dates: MAY 19-23, 2008
Time: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Venue: UP Film Institute, University of the Philippines Campus, Diliman, Quezon City
Registration Fee: Php5000.00 only

The workshop is intended for high school, college students and young professionals (ages 13 to 30 years old). Participants will learn to “read” films and be able to write about films in the form of reviews, blog-entries, school papers, analytical articles. They will learn to do a personal rating of a movie and articulate why the movie "sings, sinks in deep, or sucks." Exposure to world cinema (both shorts and fill-length) and film gems is a plus.
