The topic was Independent Filmmaking as a career and indie filmmakers Jim Libiran and JP Carpio were the guests. JP actually alerted me to the replay at midnight (Wednesday) -- I missed the Tuesday afternoon initial broadcast because I had to be somewhere.

The title of the flick is Enterpool: Senior Citizen in Action, which also stars a certain Mykell Chan, most probably a Jackie Chan knock-off. It is produced by Starboard Productions and directed by Perry de Guzman and Noli Villar. At a time when local films desperately come few and far between, a film like Enterpool offers reprieve, no matter if many merely scoff at it as a joke.

Kidlat Tahimik Redux at Cinekatipunan
Submitted by Dino Manrique on Fri, 2007-03-09 11:59. cinekatipunan | independent filmmaking | indiesine | kidlat tahimikAs part of the 30th anniversary celebration of his film 'Mababangong Bangungot' (Perfumed Nightmare), Kidlat Tahimik once again graced Cinekatipunan at Mag:net Cafe in Katipunan with his presence last January 26. He was accompanied by his mother and friends and other relatives. I came late, near the tailend of the screening, because I had a previous engagement and I had already seen the film years before when it was shown on the ABS-CBN channel during the World Cinema Centennial in the 90's.
