The Filipino film Todo Todo Teros has won the Dragons and Tigers Award for Young Cinema at the Vancouver International Film Festival.

Filipino director John Torres was named winner of the prize — which honours the most creative and innovative feature by a new director from the Asia-Pacific region — by the festival organizers this weekend.

Now in its 12th year, the prize is typically presented for a first or second feature.
