The University of the Philippines Film Institute (UPFI) is looking for an Information Officer for urgent hiring.

 

- output-driven, professional, responsible and reliable

- fluent in English and Filipino (oral and written)

- can write news and PR articles

- a film enthusiast

- a college graduate (preferably with a degree in arts management/ film/ creative writing/ advertising/ marketing/ mass communication or equivalent experience)

- knowledgeable in all basic computer applications and knows cyber comm.

- creative, dynamic and can work well with a team

- can work with minimal supervision

- most importantly, has real PASSION for films, culture and the arts.

 

- facilitates, handles, writes and monitors all communication materials (PR, news, feature, multimedia)

- assists in all activities of the Institute

- updates and maintains databases

- maintains one official email account of UPFI

- works with webmaster in maintaining the official website of UPFI (including collation of movie trailers, writing film synopsis, event briefs, film reviews, etc.)

- works as production staff or project assistant in all special projects and events

- assists in workshops and extension projects

- maintains communications with stakeholders, student orgs, partners, etc.

 

- a project-based contract

- flexible time/sched

- opportunity to learn basic media skills

- training in events management, IMC, media relations, writing, film production

- unlimited screening pass (for the duration of contract) 

 

* Hiring will be on a contractual basis, renewable depending on employee's performance.
