UP Film Institute screens Jose Javier Reyes’ Live Show
As part of its ongoing film series, “City of Sins: Plumb the Depths of the Urban Wasteland,” UP Film Institute holds a one-day showing of Jose Javier Reyes’ Berlin-exhibited Live Show (also known as Toro) this Tuesday, 8 July 2008, at 5 and 7 p.m.
The screening of the acclaimed and controversial film from Regal Entertainment and Available Light Production is presented by the UP College of Mass Communication Employees Cooperative with support from the UPCMC Foundation, Office of Extension and External Relations and Department of Graduate Studies.
Hailed as a truly bold and brave film with a strong message and firm conviction that resonates to this day, Live Show is regarded as one of the most significant films from one of Philippine cinema’s highly esteemed auteurs.
